We are a global premium publisher with 25 years history, providing quality software & apps download service across multiple languages, and since last year the business has expanded to other properties like Filehippo, Digital Trend, Ghacks and also established & scaled publisher network monetisation business RevAmp, with more partnerships on the way. As our new Senior AdTech, you will be the product owner of Softonic’s AdTech, optimising ad infrastructure, integrating tech & ad demand vendors strategically to guarantee success in advertising business.
The Senior AdTech will support our global advertising team and have experience in digital advertising technology and a proven history in working in similar roles. The role will report to the Director of Advertising.
Work closely with Engineering, Product Leads, Ad Sales, Yield & Analytics and Ad Operations groups to achieve advertising objectives for new products and product upgrades.
Managing the implementation, integration and operations of ad technology solution providers (SSPs, CMP, DMP, Ad Server, Video Player, etc. ).
Continuously searching for ways to optimize digital architecture via technology as well as optimization of demand stack to maximize revenue.
Evaluating & selecting new programmatic demand partners strategically for testing & integration to grow programmatic revenue and a healthier ad ecosystem, consulting with ad technology vendors on technical implantation requirements and best practices.
Use data to drive decisions - using metrics to analyze trends, opportunities, close gaps and prioritize activities and manage/reduce cost. Run AB tests with special focus on revenue optimization.
Stay ahead of Industry trends, inform the business with relevant news and best practices based on research & industry insights.
Minimum experience and qualifications
Working experience within publisher-side ad serving systems and demonstrable experience in working with product development, engineering, analytics teams with a strong focus on ad tech implementation.
Advanced knowledge and clearly demonstrable experience with Ad Servers, such as Google AdManager, Smart AdServer, Adform.
Working knowledge of programmatic platforms (SSPs, Ad Exchanges) such as Magnite, Index Exchange, Amazon, AdSense, Google Ad Exchange, etc.
Experience with Video (VAST, VPAID), the IMA SDK and mobile advertising are preferred.
Knowledge in the native advertising landscape is a plus. Experience or technical understanding around the use of data driven advertising and data management platforms.
Being proactive, structural with good attention to details. Identifying problems and providing solutions, motivated to identify new opportunities that can help the revenue team to achieve Softonic goals.
Great communication skills are a necessity as is the ability to work efficiently within an internal team and across various business groups. A positive, collaborative approach is a must!
Experience working with engineering teams using Agile/Scrum software development & other common engineering best practices.
Experience in programming and web development, especially scripting (PHP) and XML is preferred.
Have knowledge in debugging and HTML proxy tools including Charles, Firebug, Chrome Developer Tools.
